Privacy Policy
Last updated October 16, 2026
Overview
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit peterprestrud.com (the “Site”), which is owned and operated by Peter Prestrud, a production sound mixer based in Jackson, Wyoming. It also explains how that information is used and the choices you have.
Information You Provide
If you use the contact form, it collects:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your project description and anything else you include in your message
This information is used only to respond to your inquiry and to discuss potential work with you. It is never sold, rented or added to marketing lists.
How Form Submissions Are Processed
Form submissions are delivered by Web3Forms, which forwards your message by email. To protect the form from spam, the Site uses hCaptcha, which loads only when you scroll to the contact form or start filling it in, and may collect device and browser information to tell people and bots apart. Their use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.
Information Collected Automatically
- Hosting: The Site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the Site and keep it secure.
- Analytics: The Site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and Vercel Speed Insights to measure how quickly pages load. Neither uses cookies or tracks you across other websites, and both report only aggregated statistics.
- Images and video: Images and video are delivered by the Bunny.net content delivery network, which receives standard request data (such as your IP address) when it serves these files.
Cookies
The Site itself does not set cookies. hCaptcha may set cookies once it loads at the contact form. Embedded YouTube videos may set cookies after you choose to play them (see below).
Embedded Videos
Project videos are hosted on YouTube and embedded using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing from YouTube loads until you click play. After that, YouTube and Google may collect information as described in the Google Privacy Policy.
How Long Information Is Kept
Inquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and for related business records, unless a longer period is required by law.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information you have provided. To make a request, use the contact form. Requests will be answered within 30 days.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to anyone under 18, and no information is knowingly collected from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information, please get in touch and it will be deleted.
International Visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you contact Peter from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Do-Not-Track Signals
Because there is no uniform standard for Do-Not-Track browser signals, the Site does not currently respond to them. The Site does not track you across other websites in any case.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last changed.
